  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Scrub the potatoes well under running water. Dry them completely with paper towels; moisture prevents crisping.
  2. Prick each potato 4 to 5 times deeply with a fork.
  3. Rub the entire surface of each potato with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle the potatoes generously with coarse sea salt and pepper, rubbing the seasoning into the skin.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Place the seasoned potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 30 to 40 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through the cooking time. Cooking time depends on the size of the potatoes.
  8. Check for doneness by piercing the center with a fork; it should slide in easily.
  9. Remove from the air fryer, slice open, and fluff the inside with a fork before adding your desired toppings.
