Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
12 lasagna noodles
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Spread about 1 cup of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Arrange 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
Spread about 1/3 of the remaining meat sauce over the noodles.
Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Repeat layers two more times: noodles, sauce, cheese.
Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese and the crumbled bacon.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For crispier bacon, cook it in a separate pan until desired crispness before crumbling.
You can make this ahead of time and refrigerate. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
For extra gooey cheese pulls, add a layer of mozzarella cheese along with the cheddar.
