Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker. This recipe uses sirloin steak in a savory garlic butter sauce, perfect for a hands-off weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth and soy sauce. Pour this mixture over the steak cubes.
  3. Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, until the steak is tender.
  4. About 15 minutes before serving, prepare the garlic butter sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
  6. Stir in the Italian seasoning, pepper, and salt.
  7. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak in the slow cooker. Stir gently to coat.
  8. Cook for an additional 10 minutes on low to allow the flavors to combine.
  9. Serve the steak bites immediately over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • For best results, use sirloin or top round steak cut into uniform 1-inch pieces.
  • You can add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms or onions to the slow cooker along with the steak for extra flavor.
  • This recipe qualifies as a Low Effort Steak Dinner.
