Make this simple, cheesy pizza dip that tastes like your favorite pizza. It is perfect for game day, parties, or a quick comfort food snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and the chopped pepperoni evenly over the sauce layer. Add sliced olives if you are using them.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving warm with crackers, breadsticks, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality marinara sauce.
  • You can prepare the dip mixture (up to the baking step) one day ahead and store it covered in the refrigerator. Add 5-10 minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
  • Serve with sturdy dippers like pita chips, baguette slices, or sturdy tortilla chips.
