1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, chopped onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Carefully place the tuna patties in the hot skillet.
Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
Remove the patties from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot.
Notes
For crispier patties, you can add an extra tablespoon of bread crumbs.
Serve with your favorite tartar sauce or a squeeze of lemon.
These patties can also be baked at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
