Make this creamy frozen hot chocolate in under five minutes using only three simple ingredients. It is a refreshing, cold twist on classic hot cocoa, perfect for summer or a quick dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate milk mix (like Nesquik or similar powder mixed with a little water to form a paste, or use chocolate syrup)
  • 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the milk, chocolate milk mix (or syrup), and ice cubes into your blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick, resembling a milkshake consistency. This should take about 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. Pour the frozen hot chocolate into two tall glasses.
  4. Top each serving generously with whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate shavings, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer, copycat flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the milk with 1/4 cup of hot fudge sauce before blending.
  • If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly. If it is too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
  • You can use pre-made frozen chocolate cubes if you want an even thicker texture without adding extra ice.
