Make this smooth, cold, and refreshing frozen strawberry daiquiri at home. This recipe uses fresh and frozen strawberries for the best flavor and texture, balanced with rum, lime juice, and simple syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 4 ounces white rum
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine the frozen strawberries, fresh strawberries, white rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes in a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and reaches a slushy consistency. Stop and scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or tartness if necessary by adding a small amount more simple syrup or lime juice.
  4. Pour the mixture immediately into chilled cocktail glasses.
  5. Serve right away for the best texture.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and add 1-2 ounces of water or extra lime juice for blending consistency.
  • Use a good quality white rum for the best flavor in your cocktail.
  • To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water and heat until the sugar dissolves. Cool before using.
